Get Your Garden Growing on Earth Day!
March 31, 2015
We’ve made it to spring - trees are budding, lillies and iris are sprouting, and asparagus is too! Now is the time to begin another exciting year in our gardens, or maybe start one for the very first time. If you are new to gardening, or perhaps haven’t cultivated yours in some time, we are here to help.
Throughout the coming season, we are partnering with our friends at Dabble to offer a series of classes focused on growing and preserving your own food. We have lined up some great instructors to ensure maximum value for our students. After all, we love gardening and we certainly love pickles, so we want to share this knowledge and experience with as many people as possible!
The series begins on Earth Day, April 22nd, at Brockschmidt Farms - the gardens in which Sprouthood began. Our great friend Whitney, a seasoned urban farmer, will be demonstrating everything you need to know to start gardening or get your garden going again.
We’ll have worksheets and refreshments, but we need you and your questions. If you would like to join us, please reserve your ticket by clicking on the image below - all proceeds go directly to our teachers.
We’re looking forward to meeting you all and growing more together!
If you would like to hear more about Sprouthood - where we come from and what we are building - KMOX 1120AM radio invited us in to talk about gardens and local food. Please listen to the interview and if you haven’t already done so, sign up on our main page to be notified when the app is released, and we will send you an invite!
